Tip of the Day:
The secret: Do you know the difference between corrector and concealer?
To conceal dark circles, you'll need a yellow-based creamy concealer, in one shade lighter than your natural skin tone. This color masks the blue discoloration and brightens the skin.
If you have extreme darkness, use a corrector. Peach or pink in color, a corrector counteracts the purple or green tones underneath the eyes that a concealer can't cover on its own.
You Want to Have The Right Color For Your EyeBrows
The secret: Colors always looks darker on your eyebrows, so remember to choose a color shade lighter than your own natural color.
You Want to Make Your Eyes Really Pop
The secret: Wear liner, shadow, and mascara in shades opposite your iris’s hue on the color wheel. Green eyes use purple; blue eyes, brown; and brown eyes, navy.
You Want to Banish Your Dark Circles
The secret: While there's no permanent fix for circles
(yet), you can hide them by applying a flesh-tone concealer from inner to outer corners then patting a pink-base one over the area. Line the inner rim of the lower lash line with a nude pencil to lighten the entire eye area, but skip mascara there. It only adds darkness.
You Want to Look More Awake
The secret: After applying concealer, dot a chanpagne-hued luminizer on lids. To draw attention upward (away from the puff), cut a false-lash strip in half and affix it to the mid-upper lash line; blend falsies and your own lashes with mascara. Last rim lids in blue liner. It cancels out red-eye, so eyeballs look whiter.
You Want to Want to Make Your Skin Around Your Eyes Look Smoother
The secret: Prep lids with an eye primer to plump fine lines temporarily. A bold brow and graphically lined eyes take the focus away from the skin. Fill in arches and liquid liner along top lids, winging it out.
